The SAS could have entered through the ide adjacent wall ALSO (but failed to) only using two entry points limiting and forcing backtracking to allow entry at a jam point inside. We watch it every couple years and enjoy every minute of it every time. However, the bad guys had NO idea he was armed and that by itself was a major advantage.
