It was here that the series began to move away from the mindset of players swarming around static capture points in miniature wars of attrition.Players were encouraged to join up with one of their team's squads, giving them both a mobile spawn point in the form of their squad leader and a way to receive more specific objectives than ‘get all the flags’. There’s a bunch of modes here for your enjoyment (without the narrative aspect of War Stories, the multiplayer experience is relieved of some of the more serious overtones), as well as several new gameplay mechanics. The worst campaign is Battlefield 4's where the writing and the characters were just so cringeworthily sub par and stupid, which is a shame since the overall gameplay was solid with a few improvements over its predecessors.
